Could you delete the pages that were vandalized recently? It's hard to tell what pages need to be created and which have been made, as there are a lot of blank pages. --Afforess 17:05, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I probably should. GingerAle has just been blanking pages, and I've been following the same style. But now there are so many blank pages that they really should just be deleted. I'll get on it when I have time.--Deanej 21:49, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
...And it's all been done. I also got a couple of blank pages from previous vandalism. There are still a couple of blank civ 3 pages, but those were created by a legitimate user (to put them into categories) so I'm going to let them stay.--Deanej 01:15, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Hey man :wavey:. Now, after you got some more rights, did you think about some more possible actions against the bots? I'd suggest to disable account creation for some time (with a hint on the main page to contact you via PM in the forum), to make the wiki less attractive for bots. Because they really seem to be a pest, and you're having more work than necessary with them. The_J
What I didn't realize at the time was that some things require editing text files and can't be done via the interface. I recently sent a PM to Thunderfall suggesting an extension that could block them. What I can do though is promote you to admin/bureaucrat so that I'm not the only one checking this often that can delete pages. --Deanej 00:59, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
mmhh...what then about disabling of page creation? That's also a hard thing, but if anything else is really needed, then you can still create it. When did you send TF the PM? Could also remind him. Sometimes it's really a problem with the availability of enough admin power :/. If you have enough of dealing with the bots, then promote me, but honestly i don't look that regularly in here (but could add it to me "schedule"). The J 21:07, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I sent it Friday; I'll send a reminder. --Deanej 00:34, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
